Strict action against foreign nationals staying illegally in DK: HM Araga Jnanendra

Mangaluru: Karnataka Home Minister Araga Jnanendra on Monday said that strict action will be taken against foreign nationals illegally staying in Dakshina Kannada.
He was speaking after a meeting held at the city police commissioner’s office in Mangaluru.
Araga directed the Dakshina Kannada district police and the city police commissionerate to conduct station-level survey of foreign nationals illegally staying in the district.
The survey is to find out whether foreign nationals overstaying their visas and those who stay without valid documents. Police should find out whether foreigners have secured fake Aadhar cards, ration cards or voter identity cards, the minister said
“The government does not take premeditated and planned action against any religion. We take action against those who violate the law. Also, I have talked to the public prosecutor about the reduced sentencing of accused at District courts, ” he added.
