Mangaluru: BSNL provided two more villages – Doddathota and Kamila – in the Sullia taluk with its Bharat AirFibre service.

The Bharat AirFibre service is a high-speed wireless internet service primarily targeted to rural areas similar to Bharat Fiber, the wired service provided in urban areas.

An official from the government-run company informed that already more than thirty houses in both the villages have opted for the service.

The service offers internet with 30 Mbps speed and 3,300 GB of data at Rs 499.

The AirFibre service is offered under a franchise model and is expected to be expanded to Bantwal and Vitla soon, the official added.

Presently, there are more than 10,000 Bharat Fibre connections in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts.
