
Theft at MapleX showroom: M’luru police arrest one from Mumbai; recover mobile phones valuing Rs 41 lac

Mangaluru: Police have arrested a person hailing from Maharashtra in connection with the theft incident at Balmatta’s MapleX showroom.
The accused was nabbed from Mumbai and police confiscated around 40 phones, valuing Rs 41 lakh from his possession. Another person involved in the theft is absconding.
The thieves had broken into the showroom in first week of July and decamped with 68 mobile phones worth over Rs 60 lac.
Police commissioner N Shashi Kumar rewarded Rs 10,000 to the police team which cracked the case.
