Thekkatte: House of COVID-19 fatality sealed

Thekkatte: The house of a 54-year-old man who had returned from Mumbai on June 18 and died on the same day of his arrival due to COVID-19 has been sealed.
The man was suffering from jaundice and had arrived at his house here in the afternoon of June 18 in a car along with his wife and daughter.
His body was kept at the house till the morning of Friday, June 19. The body was sent to Udupi after it was examined by Kumbhasi primary health centre’s medical officer Dr Shobha.
His samples tested positive for the coronavirus because of which his wife and daughter have been home quarantined and the house sealed.
An emergency meeting was also conducted by members of the COVID-19 Task Force presided by Dr Shobha to discuss the steps to be taken further.
