Shivamogga: The ban on vehicular traffic on the Thirthahalli-Kundapura State Highway 52 on Balebare Ghat section has been extended till April 15. Shivamogga DC issued the notification extending the vehicular ban.

The ban is due to the ongoing construction of concrete pavement, which is causing delays and inconvenience to motorists.

Initially, the ban was supposed to last till April 5. However, due to issues with the machinery, the ban has been extended for an additional ten days.

Dr. Selvamani, the Shvamogga District Deputy Commissioner, has urged motorists to follow the instructions given in the notification and use alternate routes to avoid any inconvenience or delays during the construction work.

As per the notification, light vehicles going to Kundapur via Thirthahalli are advised to take either the Thirthahalli-Haladi-Basrur or Thirthahalli-Hebri-Udupi-Kundapura road as an alternative route. Heavy vehicles are advised to take the Thirthahalli-Kanagodu-Kollur-Kundapur road as an alternative route.
