Bengaluru: We have often heard of dress codes at temples and schools but rarely have we come across a hospital mandating dress code for women patients.
KC General Hospital in Bengaluru on Thursday came up with a diktat for woman Covid patients reportedly after two patients committed suicides by hanging themselves in the washroom by using their sarees.
As per the new dress code, the hospital has mandated that women patients should wear operation theatre dress, even though some older patients are not in favour of it.
Apart from the dress code, the hospital authorities have also urged patients to watch out for each other and to accompany a depressed patient when he goes to the washroom.
The hospital is meanwhile making all efforts to keep their patients in cheerful spirit and for this purpose has arranged televisions to show them the best health practices, programmes on meditation, movies and entertainment.
