Truck dangles over the edge of Agumbe Ghat; narrow escape for driver, cleaner

Agumbe: A truck driver and cleaner had a miraculous save after their vehicle gets stuck on Agumbe ghat on Thursday, August 5.
It is said that the paddy-laden truck coming from Shivamogga lost balance and dangled over the edge of Agumbe ghat. The accident occurred between the sixth and seventh hairpin bend of Agumbe ghat. The driver and the cleaner suffered minor injuries.
A major tragedy was averted as the truck got stuck between the steel barrier on the road and did not completely fall into the gorge.
A case has been registered at the Agumbe police station.
