Tvacha, Tvak or synonymously known as Charma is one among the five Jnyanendriya. A comprehensive description of Skin ailments are found in Ayurveda Classics with aspects of Etiopathogenesis and Management. Intricate modalities of prevention and treatment of acute and chronic conditions also are a part of Ayurveda.

The Concepts of beauty are illustrated in Ayurveda through the principles of Prakriti, Sara, Samhanana, Varna, Prabha, etc. Natural cosmetic products have intrinsic acceptability due to routine usage and their ability to be devoid of adverse effects that are commonly encountered with synthetic products. Ayurvedic interventions of Skin Care and Cosmetics have been extensively contributing towards healthier skin.

Advances in association of Contemporary Dermatology and Cosmetology with traditional Ayurvedic formulations and interventions can lead to the emergence of novel Skin Care techniques
