Mysuru: Recently, an incident where a young woman was allegedly attacked and sexually assaulted inside a ladies hostel in Naidu Nagar was reported from the city.
Police officials have arrested the suspect within a few hours of the incident. However, it is now revealed that the victim and the accused were known to each other for a few months and the woman had filed a fake rape case to save her lover.
Sources claim that the couple were in a relationship and kept it a secret as they feared strict action against them by elders.
On the day of the incident, they both secretly met at the study hall, but as they heard the woman’s hostel mates coming to the place, the woman asked the man to escape and also said that she will file a fake rape case to avoid any action against them.
