Two cops among 7 killed in a accident due to fog

Aligarh: A police jeep skided off the road and fell into a pond this morning killing seven persons including two policemen, officials said here. According to Senior Superintendent of Police Rajesh Pandey, Sub Inspector Pradeep Sharma and Constable Devinder Yadav were returning after a raid when owing to dense fog, their driver could not see a deep pond adjoining the road and the vehicle plunged in the water drowning all seven passengers.

“Among the deceased was a middle-aged woman and her child,” Pandey said adding that the identity and age of the victims was yet to be ascertained.
