Two girls playing ‘hide and seek’ suffocate to death after hiding in ice-cream freezer box

Nanjangud: The dead bodies of two girls, aged 11 and 5 were found inside an ice cream freezer box at Masage village in the taluk here.
The deceased have been identified as Bhagya (11), daughter of Nagaraja Naik, and Kavya (5), daughter of Raju Naik.
On Wednesday morning the girls were playing a game of hide and seek with their friends and reportedly hid inside the freezer box. However, when they closed the lid of the freezer box it got locked from outside. As the girls were unable to open the lid they suffocated to death in the freezer box.
Meanwhile their friends assumed that they had gone home as they were not able to trace Bhagya and Kavya. When the girls did not return home till late that afternoon their parents began searching for them frantically. Out of suspicion they opened the freezer box and found their dead bodies.
