The captured—Dhimal Mina (25), a local of Urlabari in Morang and Tamang Rabina (22) a local of Topgachchi in Jhapa district—had original passport papers as checked by the Nepal Embassy, the police said.

However, their tourist visas for Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), was fake. The duo asserted to have gotten the documents from a travel agent in Kathmandu.

A BOI officer Y S Saini verified their separate visitor’s visas with the Nepal consulate in India and affirmed them as forged before he lodged a complaint with the Bengaluru International Airport Police.

Dhimal and Tamang, on being ceased by the Bureau Of Immigration (BOI) at the KIA, said to the police that they were related and were traveling to Sharjah to meet their sister.

As indicated by the police, the two ladies were to board a flight to Sharjah around 4.30 am on Tuesday. The International air terminal police have enlisted two FIRs each subsequent to registering a complaint from Saini. Further investigation are in progress.
