Kasargod: Two youths died while taking bath in a pond with their friends in Maanya near Neerchalu here on Wednesday, July 31 afternoon.
The deceased have been identified as Abdul Khader, 20, son of Shafi from Alampadi Bafakhi and Salih Ali, 17, son of Belkuradka resident Mohammed Ali.
Despite efforts from their friends to rescue them, the two youngsters drowned in the pond. Their bodies were retrieved by fire service personnel.
Vidyanagar police have registered a police case.
