Udupi: 50-year-old mentally challenged man killed in road mishap

Udupi: A 50-year-old unidentified person was killed after coming under the wheels of a tipper near Karavali bypass on Tuesday, March 17 evening.

The deceased was reportedly mentally challenged and the locals said that the deceased was sitting on the side of the road without being properly clothed.

Seeing the tipper the man jumped in front of the vehicle, even though the tipper was moving at a slow pace, the man was killed after suffering grievous injuries in the accident.

Local police have registered a case in this regard.
