Udupi: Auto-rickshaw falls into sea; driver rescued

Udupi: An auto-rickshaw along with the driver fell into the sea at Baputhota boat anchoring area at Malpe on Monday.

It is said that the auto-rickshaw owned by Chandra Suvarna fell into the sea while he was inside the vehicle.

However, locals and diving expert Eshwar Malpe rescued the driver and the vehicle too was lifted out of the sea using a crane.

Eshwar Malpe’s efforts were lauded by the public.
