Kaup: The Belapu-Mallaru road with Kaup town limits and the surronding areas are completely flodded.
The flood has also threatened to cut connectivity to more than 40 houses in the area.
Local residents complain that the flooding problem is now an annual phenomenon during monsoon. They are of the opinion that if the road’s height is raised to the same level as that of the bridge then the roads will at least be spared from being flooded every year.
Ganesh Mallaru, a local resident, said that the town council’s work in clearing the roadside ditches and drains has helped a little, however, without raising the road to the same level as that of the birdge the problem of flooding will continue every year.
