Udupi: Dist admin seals lodge in Hebri

Udupi: The Udupi district administration has sealed a lodge in Hebri and this became the first spot to be sealed in the district.

A green zone Udupi has seen a rise in coronavirus cases in the past few days. On Wednesday, May 20 six were tested positive for the virus and are undergoing treatment at r TMA Pai Hospital here.

The six who contracted infection are a 44-year-old woman and a 15-year-old girl who was kept in Kundapur quarantine, 31-year-old, and 47-year-old women in Hebri quarantine, and two men from Byndoor taluk aged 55 and 74 have.

Meanwhile, the number of throat swab samples collected in the district has risen to 420 and the total number of test reports pending has swelled to 987.

Till date Udupi has reported 22 cases.
