Udupi: Driver of MCC Chief Accountant found dead on railway tracks

Udupi: A man who worked as the driver for the chief accounts officer of the Mangaluru City Corporation was found dead on railway tracks near the Indrali railway bridge here in the early hours of Wednesday, January 25.
The deceased has been identified as Raghavendra Hegde, son of Sanjeeva Hegde of Salanje village in Hebri.
The death is suspected to be a suicide due to personal reasons. An official car with a green sticker saying “Chief Accounts Officer” was found parked nearby.
Due to the impact of the train, the body was found in pieces. His identity was determined by the Aadhaar card and the car was found in the vicinity, police said.
Manipal police arrived at the scene and are investigating.
