Udupi: Man gets six-month jail time for rash driving, killing 2 people

Udupi: A JMFC court awarded six-month jail term to a man in connection with a 2015 accident case that resulted in the death of two persons and injured another.

The convicted Yohan had mowed down three pedestrians near Hiriyadka First Grade college on July 19, 2015. Two of the pedestrians — Saraswati and Dhiti were killed on the spot while another girl Tejaswi sustained serious injuries.

Hiriyadka police registered a case of rash driving against Yohan and a charge sheet was submitted to the court.

After hearing the argument of Senior Public Prosecutor Badrinath Nayari, Court Judge Deepa pronounced the verdict.
