Udupi: Mangled body parts of an unidentified person were found on the railway track near Doddanagudde here on Monday, August 1.
Personnel of the Manipal police station visited the spot and completed the legal formalities.
The deceased is identified as a young male. The person was found to be wearing a sacred thread. Police suspect that a train may have run over the man.
The body has been shifted to the mortuary. The kin of the deceased have been requested to get in touch with the Citizen Support Centre of Manipal police for identification of the body.
