Udupi: Mangled corpse found near rly tracks; suicide suspected

Udupi: A mangled dead body of an unidentified man was near the railway tracks at Doddanagudde Moodasagri here on Monday.

It is suspected that the man might have committed suicide by placing his head on the tracks on Sunday night when a goods train had passed.

The dead body was later taken to the morgue at the district hospital at Aajjarkad.

A case has been registered at Manipal police station and a public request has been made for the man’s relatives to contact the police station.
