Udupi: Senior political leader Patla Annayya Naik passes away

Manipal: Retired teacher and senior political leader Patla Annayya Naik (76) died of an illness on Saturday, August 28.
Naik had retired after serving as a teacher in Manipal School and Patla School.
He was a prominent leader in the JD(S) party and later was also involved in the BJP and Congress party.
He served as president of the Herga Agricultural Service Co-operative Society in Parkala.
Naik also served as the Honorary Chairman of Udupi District Contractors Association and members of the Executive Committee of the State Association of Contractors.
He is survived by two daughters.
