Udupi: District CEN police team intercepted a trio smuggling cannabis in a car and seized 20 kg of ganja worth Rs 6 Lakhs from them on Saturday.
Based on credible intelligence inputs, police intercepted a car coming from the Agumbe-Hebri route at Jogibettu in Perdur village.
The three occupants of the car — identified as Chikkamagaluru residents Vijayakumar S (23), Nikshep S V (24), and Nithesh Kumar (22) — have been arrested, police added.
Besides the contraband, three mobile handsets, a Toyota Glanza car, cash were also confiscated. The total worth of the seized property was around Rs15.3 lakhs, police added.
