Udupi: A video of a government school teacher sleeping in the school corridor while students are seen inside the classroom has gone viral on social media.
The incident is said to have taken place at Alangar government junior primary school under Perdoor village. The teacher identified as Krishnamurthy was allegedly in an inebriated condition and was spotted sleeping here. As the video went viral Perdoor gram panchayat president Devu Poojary and others approached the BEO seeking action against the teacher.
It is gathered that Udupi DDPI Ganapathi K has instructed the BEO to aubmit a report after conducting an inquiry against the teacher. Necessary action will be taken against him based on the report.
