
Ullal: 11-year-old boy dies of fever; encephalitis suspected

Ullal: A 11-year-old boy passed away due to a mysterious fever on Thursday.
The deceased Ashwith (11), a sixth-standard student of Uchila Bovi English Medium School, had been absent from school on Wednesday as he was feeling unwell. He complained of severe headaches and fever for two days.
It is said that the boy exhibited symptoms similar to that of encephalitis. It is not yet known whether he had gotten the JE vaccination or not. Doctors are investigating the cause of his sudden death.
Ashwith lived with his mother at Kolya Saraswat Colony for the last 3 months. He had lost his father in an accident. He was said to be a bright student and was to take part in the school’s annual day celebrations on Friday. However, it was not to be.
