Ullal: Couple found dead under suspicious circumstances

Ullal: An incident of a couple found dead under suspicious circumstances was reported on Thursday, October 27 from Pilar falling under Ullal Police Station limits.

The deceased are identified as Shivanand Poojary (55) and Shobha Poojary, residents of Pilar.

On Thursday noon, son Karthik called his mom (Shobha), but she had not responded. Karthik had then asked the neighbour to check. When their neighbour entered the house, she found Shobha dead in a room and later found Shivanand’s body in a hung state on the farm.

As per the sources, Shivanand might have asphyxiated and killed Shobha and later hung himself.

However, the police said that it would only be possible after they receive a forensic report to confirm whether Shobha was killed.

Meanwhile, ACP Dinakar Shetty and a team of Ullal Police have formed teams to investigate the matter and forensic experts are inspecting the spot to collect evidence.
