Ullal: The disappearance of a 36-year-old from Bengaluru took a curious turn after his decomposed body was recovered from a well in Thokkottu, near to the lodge where he had stayed.

The deceased has been identified as Mahantesh A S (36) a native of Arasikere who currently resides in Bengaluru. He had reached Thokottu on November and stayed at the lodge. He had gone out and had not returned. On December 1, police were informed about the missing man. On December 2, Mahantesh’s sister lodged a complaint with the Ullal police about his disappearance.

A foul smell around a well situated behind the residence of Abdul Samad near the lodge led to the discovery of the body. The yet unknown body was lifted by the personnel from the fire brigade. It was later identified to be that of Mahantesh.
