
Ullal: Two killed, 2 more injured in horrific accident near Kolya

Ullal: The death toll in the accident at Kolya here risen to two, following the death of an injured man on Monday.
Bashar Ahamed (22), a resident of Naya Bazar in Uppala, who was seriously injured in a car accident between Kolya and Adka on NH-66, succumbed to his injuries at a private hospital in Mangaluru.
Two others, identified as Fathima and Revathi, who were also injured in the accident, are undergoing treatment at a hospital in the city.
The car travelling from Mangaluru to Talapady was involved in an accident on Sunday night between Kolya and Adka. The driver of the car lost control, leaped into the air after crashing into the divider, and before coming to a halt hitting an electric pole.
Four friends from college were returning to Talapady after attending a party in Mangaluru when the accident occurred.
Abdul Rifai (22), a resident of Manjeshwar Udyavar, who was seriously injured in the accident, succumbed to his injuries on Sunday, while Bashar Ahmed (22), a resident of Hidayat Nagar in Uppala, breathed his last on Monday.
A case has been registered at Mangaluru South Traffic Police Station.
