Vandita Sharma appointed Chief Secretary of Karnataka

Bengaluru: Senior IAS officer Vandita Sharma was on Friday appointed the new chief secretary of Karnataka.
A 1986-batch IAS officer, Vandita Sharma will be the fourth woman to be the Cheif Secretary of the Karnataka government. Theresa Bhattacharya, Malati Das, and Ratna Prabha were the other woman officers to hold the position.
Vandita will take over the charge post-retirement of current chief secretary P Ravikumar on May 31.
The state government has decided to promote Vandita Sharma, who was additional chief secretary and development commissioner of the state.
