Vitla: Man fires at police official; arrested

Vitla: An incident of a man firing on a police Sub Inspector and being apprehended by police was reported from the check post at Kodange near here on Friday morning.
The police official, who was shot at and injured, has been identified as Vinod Reddy.
Reddy and other police officials were inspecting vehicles at the Kodange check post when the gunman arrived in a car and fired at Reddy.
The accused was caught before attempting to escape.
The cause of the shooting is yet to be known.
