Vitla: Parked lorry catches fire near petrol bunk

Vitla: A parked lorry was damaged after it caught fire accidentally at Medu near Salethur here.

The incident took place in front of a petrol bunk and a major disaster was averted due to the action of locals in extinguishing the fire.

Bantwal fire brigade personnel reached the spot and doused the fire. The front portion of the lorry was completely damaged in the mishap.

It is gathered that the lorry was purchased 5 months ago and was serviced at the showroom on Monday.
