
Vitla: School girl hit by bike while waiting for auto, injured

Vitla: A Class 5 student sustained serious injuries after being hit by a bike at Okketthur here.
The injured Fatima Nida, daughter of Basheer studies at Vitla government school. She was waiting for an auto rickshaw to go to school when the bike rammed into her and dragged her for some distance.
Locals rushed to her rescue and she has been admitted to a hospital in Mangaluru for treatment.
Locals have complained that since the widening and concretization of Vitla-Kalladka road, vehicles have been speeding on this route.
