Volvo bus-lorry mishap: Bus driver dead
Accident at Krishnagiri along Bengaluru- Tamil Nadu highway

Subrahmanya: A KSRTC bus driver died as a result of a collision that took place between a KSRTC Volvo bus and a lorry at Krishnagiri along the Bengaluru- Tamil Nadu highway early on Wednesday morning. The deceased driver has been identified as Rajanna alias Tirumaleshwara (52) from Subrahmanya who was currently residing in Mangaluru.
The bus was coming from Tamil Nadu via Bengaluru road to Mangaluru when the mishap occurred. It was early in the morning around 4 am when the bus collided with the lorry which was parked on the roadside. Rajanna suffered grievous head injuries due to the impact of the collision and lost his life on the spot. A few of the passengers travelling in the bus have also sustained serious injuries.
The deceased is survived by his wife, daughter and a son. His final rites will be carried out at his house near Subrahmanya.
