WATCH: Major General of Indian Army gives ‘final salute’ to his mother before hanging uniform

While our brave soldiers protect our country’s air, water, and land without any expectations, mothers do the same duty by facing all odds and protecting their children from the time in the womb till their (mother’s) last breath.
Saluting this spirit, an Indian Army personnel has shown his love and respect to his mother by giving ‘final salute’ of his service.
Major General Ranjan Mahajan is the one who has won the hearts of millions with this gesture.
In the video, Major General Mahajan can be seen marching into the house, while his mother is sitting on a sofa and watching him. He stops by his mother and salutes her, to which, she reacts by saluting back and embracing him with warmth and affection. Later, he garlands his mother.
Taking to Instagram, he posted the video and wrote, “Final Salute to my mother before hanging my uniform. We drove down from Ambala to Delhi and it was a total surprise to my mother, who having given birth and made me worthy of this life and uniform to serve my motherland with pride for 35 years. Given an opportunity will always be ready to serve the elite Indian Army once again.”

Currently, the video has gone viral with over 44,000 likes and more than four lakh views.
Meanwhile, several followers have commented the gesture to be a ‘proud’ feeling and ‘adorable’.
