Udupi: Water games at the Malpe beach in Udupi were temporarily suspended due to the rough seas and sea swell.

On Sunday afternoon and throughout Monday, water games at the beach were temporarily suspended reportedly due to the high tides during the new moon.

The beach authorities opted to suspend the water games until conditions improved to ensure the safety of the tourists.

There were no reported disruptions to the trips to St. Mary’s Island, providing some relief for tourists.

Notably, on Monday, the seawater reached the beach huts due to the swell. The organization responsible for overseeing beach activities may extend the suspension of water games if high waves persist on Tuesday.
