Kundapur: In a bizarre incident, a man married a woman who was already engaged to someone else after he drove away his own lawfully wedded wife out of his house. This shameful act has been committed by Sayyed Siddique who hails from Bhadravati.

About 3-4 years ago, Mr Siddique had married Hosangadi resident Mubeena in a mass wedding ceremony. The couple also has a child. But in a sudden turn of events, the man abandoned his wife by chasing her out of his house.

Consequently, a case in this connection was registered with Bhadravati police station and the police personnel had summoned Sayyed and advised him for good.

Marrying a woman engaged to someone else

Reportedly on the very next day, Siddique married another woman identified as Sabeeha Banu who was residing in the neighbourhood. Sabeeha Banu was already engaged to someone else and Siddique, though in knowledge of this fact, forcefully married the woman.

Apparently, Siddique’s action is supported by the community’s head and senior members in the area, while Mubeena and her child are fighting for justice.

Mubeena’s parents confronted Siddique of his actions to which he told them that he would look after both of his wives. However, Mubeena annoyed by her husband’s action has filed a complaint with Amasebail police station appealing them to bring her husband back to her. For now, Mubeena ls staying at her parent’s home.
