Will join BJP after meeting Nalin Kumar Kateel: Varthur Prakash

Bengaluru: Independent candidate from Kolar Varthur Prakash on Sunday said that he will join BJP after meeting State BJP President Nalin Kumar Kateel in the evening.

Speaking after the CM’s visit, Varthur said, ” Muniratna and Sudhakar, Ministers in-charge of the district of Kolar and Chikkaballapur requested me to support BJP candidate Venugopal. I have called a meeting of District, Taluk and Village Panchayat officers.  I will officially announce my decision today afternoon.”

Sudhakar said, “A meeting of Kolar gram panchayat members will be held soon. We also met CM to discuss the MLC elections. The Chief Minister has requested Varthur to support BJP candidate and we have got a positive response from him. He will announce his decision after the meeting with local leaders.”
