Woman falls and drowns in Vanivilas Sagar canal

Chitradurga: A woman who had gone to wash clothes in the Vanivilas Sagar canal fell and drowned in it at Hiriyuru taluk’s Babburu village here on Sunday, April 5.
The dead woman has been identified as Vishalakshi (48).
The incident took place while Vishalakshi had gone to wash her clothes slipped and fell into the canal.
A case in this regard has been registered with the Hiriyuru police.
