Yogesh Gowda murder: Former minister Vinay Kulkarni taken into CBI custody

Dharwad: The CBI took former minister and Congress leader Vinay Kulkarni into custody on Thursday, November 5 morning in connection with the murder of former Zilla Panchayat member Yogeeshgouda Goudar in 2016.

Reportedly the CBI sleuths took Kulkarni to Dharwad Town Police Station and he is being questioned.

CBI sleuths have already questioned the younger brother of the former minister, his close aids, few Congress leaders, and also the wife of the slain ZP member.

Yogeeshgouda Goudar, then a Zilla panchayat member from BJP was hacked to death in his gymnasium in Dharwad in June 2016. Following a plea by elder brother of Yogeeshgouda Goudar, Gurunathgouda, the case was handed over to CBI for investigation.
