Youth stranded in Kuwait to reach motherland soon?

Mangaluru/Kuwait: The Kuwait Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour conducted investigation of the company accused of cheating 75 youths from Karnataka and other states by failing to provide jobs to them thereby leaving them stranded in the country. The verification was conducted on Thursday and the case is mostly on the path of a happy ending with the youth possibly reaching motherland soon.

The inquiry which lasted for around 4 hours was participated by the victims, officials from the Indian Embassy, representatives from the company that cheated and the members of Public Authority Manpower.

Meeting on Sunday

The ministry has called in a meeting on Sunday regarding the cancellation of the visa of the victims. The company which cheated and the victims have filed separate complains with the ministry. An inquiry will be conducted in this regard post which a discussion will be held in connection to the cancellation of the visa of the youth. If the visa is cancelled, the youth will return back to the motherland immediately.

Since a few youth have been provided employment by the food transport company of the agency, they have also been provided with two-wheelers. The concerned have been directed to return back the same to the company. Even thought the company has assured to provide proper salary if the youth chose to work with it again, the youth are averse to the option.

“If the visa of the 75 youth is cancelled at the meeting to be conducted by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour June 2nd, the youth may return back to the homeland within some days. In this case, the company which cheated the youth has to bear the price of the air tickets back to India. If in case the company fails to provide the ticket facility, then the MP Nalin Kumar and the Police Commissioner Sandeep Patil must come forward to initiate legal action in this connection, “said a non-residential Kannadiga from Kuwait with Udayavani.
