Mangaluru: Entrepreneur accuses CCB of deceiving money in a raid

Mangaluru: Karunakar Bhandary, an Entrepreneur alleged that the city crime branch had taken possession of Rs 66 lac during the raid on June 25, 2019, he even accused the police of wrongly mentioning the amount seized as Rs 57.74 lac.
Bhandary asserted that he availed a loan from the bank for the construction of the ice plant and kept it at the office.
According to Bhandary, the CCB officials raided his office in the name of cricket betting and seized the money.
Informing that Bhandary had taken up the issue with the senior officials, “The CCB sub-inspector Kabbalraj and staff deceived after collecting the cash.” he said.
All those who received notices so far will be questioned at the Bengaluru office of the criminal investigation department.
Meanwhile, in regards to a Jaguar car belonging to certain people accused in a case, the police found the same car moving around the city. The car was reportedly sold in November.
Following which the police decided to conduct an investigation based on the global positioning system (GPS).
It was revealed that a senior police officer had moved around the city in the car. Result of which the car was found parked in the residence of a middleman at Falnir.
The one who stuck the car dealership is a middleman based in Mangaluru.
