Hebri: Devotees offer prayer to ‘submerged’ Shivalinga

Hebri: On the occasion of Shivaratri, devotees offered prayers to the Shivalinga that otherwise remains submerged in the Sitha river here at Hebri.

Prayers are offered to Shivalinga Jangameshwara here only twice a year ie on Shivaratri and Ellamavasye

As per historical sources, the Jangamas residing here some 250 years ago used to worship this Linga. Around seven years ago, the mention of this particular Linga surfaced during the Ashtamangala rituals at Anantha Padmanabha Temple.
