Mundargi: Kannada and Culture Minister Aravind Limbavali said that a plan is under consideration to revise the State’s anthem and reduce its duration.
Speaking to reporters here he said that the present anthem is meaningful but long. The length of the anthem has to be limited to 2:30 minutes. The main purpose of this is to prevent the breach of etiquette by the general public and senior citizens.
“In this regard, State Assembly Speaker and former education minister Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri will lead a team of subject experts. They will identify which words of the song and what part of the song can be revised without affecting its originality,” the minister said.
