No curfew or lockdown in Karnataka, govt clarifies

Bengaluru: Amid the spike in COVID-19 cases in the State, the government on Friday has ruled out the imposition of lockdown or curfew to tackle the crisis.
Speaking to reporters, Ravi Kumar, Chief Secretary to the government said the government is taking measures to tackle the spurt in COVID-19 cases and the primary focus is on the vaccination drive.
He informed that 20 per cent of beds in private hospitals have been reserved for COVID-19 patients.
