Madhugiri: A class 6 girl student from here has written a letter to the Vishwa Manava Hakkugala Seva Kendra (World Human Rights Service Centre) complaining about a teacher who spends her time on her mobile phone instead of teaching.

The letter was written by Vaishnavi PR, a student of Government Senior Primary School, Puravara.

In her letter, Vaishnavi states that her teacher brings her children to the school during class time and pressures the students to play with them while she spends her time on her mobile phone.

“Some teachers are also members of some organisations and do the work of the organisation in the school. This is troubling us as our lessons are not being properly taught to us. Additionally, in the backyard of the school premises, movement of snakes was noticed many times,” she wrote in the letter addressed to Siddalingegouda, the president of the Seva Kendra.

Siddalingegouda, who responded to the letter, has written to the Deputy Commissioner, zilla panchayat CEO, Madhugiri sub-divisional officer, the DDPI and the BEO regarding the letter.
