Watch: As COVID spread gets worse, Dr Shashikiran shares tips to stay safe

Manipal: The second wave of the Covid-19 has been spreading at a faster pace, overwhelming healthcare infrastructure in several states. Well-known Dr Shashikiran opines that an extraordinary response is necessary to curb the spread of the virus which is more infectious as compared to the first wave.

In an exclusive interview with Udayavani.com ShashiKiran said, “The debilitating effect of the Covid-19 second wave will be felt by the healthcare system soon, both in the government and private sectors. Each day, major hospitals are filling up fast with Covid patients, leaving them running from pillar to post in search of either oxygen or ICU beds.”
