Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy on Saturday tested COVID-19 positive and was advised to get hospitalized immediately.
However, the former Chief Minister was in for a rude shock, when the Manipal Hospital turned down his request for admission citing a shortage of beds.
Reports suggest that even Karnataka Health Minister Dr. K Sudhakar’s intervention did not help
Now, Karnataka Health Minister has clarified that there is no shortage of beds and that he is in constant touch with HD Kumaraswamy. Arrangements have been made in Manipal and Apollo hospitals to admit him.
He further warned the media houses to not spread false rumours
