Bengaluru: Farmer leader and honorary president of KSRTC employees’ union Kodihalli Chandrashekhar on Wednesday, April 21 informed that the transport strike is being withdrawn presently in the wake of a notice issued by Karnataka high court.
Noting that this is possibly the worst time to strike, a division bench of Chief Justice Abhay Oka and Justice Suraj Govindaraj on Tuesday issued notice to Karnataka State Road Transport Employees League asking them to resume operations immediately.
“Justices of the High court in their notice has directed transport workers to resume duty immediately and not cause further inconvenience to common people,” Kodihalli told reporters here.
For the last 15 days the transport workers have been striking seeking fulfillment of their demands, including wage revision.
