Moodabidri: Forest fire razes vegetation in Kallamundkur

Moodabidri: A fire broke out on Sunday afternoon in a thirty-acre forest site in the hilly regions of Kallamundkur Pidmale.
The fires caused the tyres of the water tankers sent to extinguish the fire to crack open. Hence, they could not be used.
Firefighters and locals were somehow successful in containing the spread of the fire.
According to the Forest Department, such fires are common among acacia trees and grasslands.
