Lockdown: Ujire Panchayat comes to rescue of stranded mother-daughter duo

Ujire: Ujire Panchayat has lent a helping hand towards a mother-daughter duo who were left stranded at a bus shelter here following a total lockdown in the state.
The woman Divya (22), hailing from Bengaluru, earns her living by street hawking. She along with her daughter Anjali was stranded at the Ujire bus stand. Her husband, a native of Chintamani, was stuck due to the lockdown curfew and couldn’t come to fetch his wife and daughter.
After coming to know of her plight, Ujire Gram Panchayat President Pushpavati, PDO Prakash Shetty Noccha, Social activist Ravi lent a helping hand to the Divya and Anjali by making arrangements for them to stay at an empty room near Gram Panchayat and even provided them with food.
